Wescott Law Recognized Among Top NH Law Firms

Wescott Law was recently recognized as one of the state’s top law firms in an annual supplement published by Business NH Magazine. The firm was one of twenty-two in the state to be included in the issue, a supplement to the month’s regular publication, and the only one based in the Lakes Region. Those included were listed in order of the number of New Hampshire attorneys. The largest firm has six hundred thirty-eight attorneys but because only fifteen are licensed to practice in NH, they were ranked thirteenth. The top firm was one with far fewer attorneys, ninety-six to be exact, but because seventy-eight of them were NH attorneys they were ranked as number one.

Managing Partner, Attorney Allison Ambrose proudly displays the 2017 edition of BusinessNH Magazine’s “Top Law Firms of NH”.

“We are very humbled to be included among much larger firms”, stated Managing Partner, Attorney Allison Ambrose. Wescott Law, with nine attorneys, all licensed to work in New Hampshire, came in at number twenty with two others following them in rank based on the criteria. Most of the firms listed have their main office in larger cities; nine are based in Manchester and six in Concord. Three were based out of state but have offices in New Hampshire and were thus included in the list.

“It’s wonderful for our firm, which is celebrating its ninetieth anniversary this year, to receive such recognition”, states Ambrose. “The partners take great pride in remaining current, implementing improved systems, rebranding the firm and introducing a new generation of attorneys”, adds Ambrose. “In recent years, several younger attorneys have joined Wescott Law, resulting in a more balanced demographic. It’s a great combination of youthful ingenuity and the learned experience of the firm’s founders”.

Wescott Law’s main office is located in the heart of Laconia, with satellite offices in Meredith and Portsmouth. Many practice areas offer a free initial consultation to new clients.
